Our method

How we assess the technology

Plunzoboardtll is an independent reference on electric surfboards and personal watercraft, written for riders and buyers who want to understand the machine before choosing one.

Claimed

Labelled as claims

Manufacturer figures are presented as claims with their stated test conditions where available.

Example

Labelled as examples

Illustrative tables and scenarios explain direction and size of effects; they are not measurements.

Standard

Anchored in standards

We reference published standards such as IEC 60529, IEC 62133, UN 38.3 and ISO 12402.

Independent

No affiliate income

We do not sell boards, accept paid placements or earn commission on purchases.

What we do

We explain how propulsion, batteries, construction and rider conditions interact, and give readers a vocabulary for evaluating products. We do not publish rankings or "best board" lists, because the right choice depends on the rider, the water and the intended use.

Sources

Our explainers draw on manufacturer manuals and technical documentation, published standards, transport regulations such as the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, and general engineering principles of hydrodynamics and battery chemistry. Where a statement depends on a specific model or jurisdiction, we say so and point readers to the primary source.

Illustrations

All cutaways, layer stacks and flow diagrams on this site are illustrative schematics drawn in a consistent style. They show general principles and are not drawings of any specific product.

Safety first

We deliberately avoid speed-led framing. Where performance and safety pull in different directions, we prioritise the safety information and recommend riders follow manufacturer instructions, local regulations and qualified instruction.

Corrections

Technology and regulations change. If you find an error or outdated information, tell us. We review reports and update pages with the correction noted.

Who we are
